Igor Ramírez
García Peralta

Igor Ramírez García-Peralta is the author of two novels, Ese horrible deseo de pertenecer and El valle de los mamuts, and a regular contributor to the Financial Times’ How To Spend It, where he writes about adventure travel. Passionate about sports, he competes in middle- and long-distance triathlons as well as open-water swimming races.

Currently, he balances his life as a livestock farmer and olive grower in the Andalusian countryside with content direction and advertising campaigns for brands such as Pomellato, Tiffany & Co., and Emporio Armani.

Igor blends his storytelling and writing with his hands-on experience in the countryside, offering visitors a different perspective on rural Andalucía. His goal is that no one leaves indifferent, that La Sierrazuela stirs something within them, that Arcos leaves a lasting impression—that those who visit will want to return. He is passionate about sharing the story of his cortijo and creating moments that go beyond a simple stay. More than just guests, those who come to La Sierrazuela become part of its story, experiencing and feeling the place through the eyes of someone who truly lives it.

“As the owner of La Sierrazuela, a 300-year-old Andalusian cortijo, I have a deep connection to the land, its centuries-old olive groves, and the traditions that shape daily life here. After living in some of the world’s most fast-paced cities, I chose to move to the countryside and embrace a slower, more intentional way of life. My passion for nature, animals, and Andalusian culture drives everything I do—from working the land to reviving nearly forgotten olive varieties.”

OUR VALUES

Animals & Nature

We deeply value harmony with nature and the well-being of animals. Biodiversity and respect for all forms of life are fundamental pillars in the way we live and work the land.

Culture

The cortijo is a sanctuary for culture, especially literature, painting, and sculpture. Here, we foster a space where ideas and emotions can freely express themselves.

Sports

Sports are a passion that connects us to our environment and keeps us active. We practice triathlon, gravel cycling, trail running, open-water swimming, horseback riding, and sailing.

Andalucía

Our finca is infused with the spirit of Andalucía. We celebrate its traditions, religion, music, craftsmanship, gastronomy, and architecture. Here, Andalusian culture is not just honored—it thrives as a constant reminder of our roots.

Vision & Sustainability

We believe in balancing tradition and modernity. We work the land as past generations did, while incorporating sustainable practices to ensure its future. Every decision—from how we cultivate to how we bring our products to the table—is guided by a commitment to environmental stewardship and fostering more conscious consumption.

Local Reforestation

We are committed to restoring degraded areas around the cortijo, planting native species to strengthen the ecosystem and regenerate local biodiversity.

Artisanal Production

We produce everything in small batches, from olive oil to herbal infusions, ensuring quality, freshness, and authenticity.

Community Support

We collaborate with local producers and artisans to support the regional economy and preserve traditions that deserve to endure.
